The Helmeted guineafowl (Numida meleagris or Tarentaal) - A Very Shy Dinosaur

This week I again have to shots and not a single one. This is called a tarentaal in my home language or the Helmeted guineafowl. They are suburban birds roaming the streets here in the Cape. They have made the streets their homes. There are always some of them walking in the street especially in the early morning. However, they are very shy! I do not even have time to take some photographs then they already spotted me and are so far away I cannot take some photographs. But, yesterday morning I was lucky! There was a pair in my garden and they did not spot me! I got the camera and hid behind some of the bigger bushes so that I stay hidden. It was not long before they saw me and flew away. I got some nice shots! Please enjoy and stay safe. Greetings from Sunny South Africa!
