As a South African, I am a little biased towards South African golfers. I want them to do good. After the second round (I am writing this as Oosthuizen is on the 16th), South African Louis Oosthuizen is co-leader in the PGA Championship. The question is, can he pull it off? This is obviously way too early to tell, and I obviously want him to win. But it always seems to me that players leading this early in a tournament struggle to keep the momentum going.

Keeping the momentum going is important. Leading a tournament this early can possibly lead a player to defend and thus change his game to defend rather than attack, which got them to the lead in the first place. I am not yet putting my money on him to win, it is too early, but as a South African I really want to see him win. Plus, this will be a huge redemption from the last couple of tournaments which he threw away, especially the tournament he played with fellow South African Charl Schwartzel.
