I am stating it too often: what a privilege it is to play golf in such a beautiful country. All the uncertainty, inequality, political instability, and general chaos, I am walking in nature playing this sport. True, some of the privilege is due to things beyond my control, and some of it is unfair. But I did not choose it, in the literal sense of the word.

Philosophically speaking, using Heidegger’s convoluted term, I am thrown into the world, I do not have a say in how I arrive here. But I can, following Albert Camus, stand in the face of absurdity choose to live, accept the meaninglessness of it all, and play some golf. I hope you are doing well, that you are active, and safe.
